I am dedicated to equity when it comes to affording therapy. A few of my sessions each week have a therapy fee of $140 for those who need it. Book a consultation here with me to inquire further.
As a Registered Social Worker (RSW) all of my services are exempt from HST. There is no additional tax on top of the numbers you see here. -
Yes, a receipt is provided after the session when the transaction is processed online through the secure Jane App system. You may submit the receipt from each appointment to be reimbursed through your extended health benefits. Insurance plans can cover much of the fees for therapy and sliding scale options may be provided for a select amount of time slots to support your ability to access services. Please ask me for support if you are having trouble submitting a claim.
Checking with your health insurance provider can be a good way to make sure they cover my services as a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist with a Masters of Social Work (MSW, RSW).

Whether you have been to therapy or not, it is normal to feel nervous, especially about a first session. I understand that it takes courage to reach out, and my priority is building your trust by providing a safe atmosphere. This means, while I ask questions to get to know you, it will always be your choice whether or not to talk about a certain topic. My aim is to help you feel comfortable so that you can get the most out of our time together.

Yes, all of our sessions will be fully confidential, unless I have written permission from you to share information. The only exceptions to confidentiality are:
1) If I have reason to believe you are in immediate risk to harm yourself or someone else
2) If a child under 16 years old or someone in a Long Term Care Home is at risk of abuse or neglect
3) If you report sexual abuse by a Regulated Health Care Professional
4) If your file or therapist is subpoenaed by court

We can determine this together when we meet for our first session. I am trained to provide both longer-term therapy approaches and short-term approaches. After a chance to assess your needs and preferences, we can determine if you may prefer short-term sessions in order to complete a goal, or if you may like support for a longer time to work on longstanding challenges. While I will provide my professional opinion, the frequency and length of time we work together is up to you.
